CM-8500T - TTY/TDD Compatible Line Sharing Device
COMSWITCH TTY/TDD Compatible Line Sharing Device (TTY, FAX, PHONE/SIGNALER & ANSWERING MACHINE). All In One. The first line sharing device that allows TTY's to share a line with your phone, fax machine, modem and other telephone equipment. Inbound signals are routed automatically, making it a perfect solution for homes with hearing and Deaf users.
When any call comes in, there is a standard voice announcement followed by TTY tones giving instructions. If a person is calling by voice, the voice announcement will ask the caller to hold through TTY tones and then the call is automatically transferred to a standard phone. If a person is calling by TTY, the caller will receive TTY tones with instructions to press the space bar to route the call to the receiving TTY. Once the call is routed to a standard phone or a TTY, any connected answering machines can also be activated if no one responds to the call. Faxes are automatically detected and routed as well. Works with telephone company calling features like "Voice Mail", "Distinctive Ring", "Call Waiting", "Caller ID" and more. Works with most light-strobe equipment. Allows TTY devices to be networked for in-house, room-to-room conversations. One year warranty. |
